Artists' books
The Library has a large and rich collection of artists’ books. The collection contains fine print books and book objects from the 1970’s to the present and includes work by British and international artists. These are available to view in the Special Collections room.
All books can be searched using the Library Catalogue and can be viewed on request. All items are reference only. There is a regularly changing display of the books in the Special Collections room and the collection is growing.
The collection benefits from close collaboration with The Centre for Fine Print Research. Sarah Bodman is Research Fellow for Artists' Books at the Centre, where she runs projects investigating and promoting contemporary book arts (more information).
