Other libraries

Depending on where you live, there may be public, university or national libraries in the locality that have good collections of material in your subject area. Access arrangements vary, and you are advised to check what these are in advance of your visit.

Access to a university library by non-members is generally restricted to the library’s printed resources. Access to electronic resources is not usually available because licensing agreements generally restrict access to members of the university concerned.

The Use of Other Libraries page gives details of co-operative schemes that enable staff and students to use most other UK university libraries for reference purposes, and in some cases to borrow material.
