Your UWE ID Number and Library PIN

What is my UWE ID number?

  • Your UWE ID Number is the number under the barcode on your UWE ID card.

What is my library PIN and what is it for?

  • All members of the University have a 4 digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) which is uniquely connected to their University ID number. It can be obtained from any of the UWE libraries on production of your ID card, alternatively see the email me my PIN feature below.
  • Your PIN enables you to place a hold on a book that is on loan to somebody else, to renew books you have on loan yourself, or just to check how many items you have on loan and when they are due back.
  • Once you have your PIN, you can then change it to another number of your choice if you wish. To do this, log in to the Library Catalogue, click on the Your Account button at the top of the screen then select the Change My PIN option.

E-mail me my PIN
