  1. You will now be presented with another login screen which will be very similar to the one you would see when logging into the network on a University computer. Just enter your network login details again here, making sure the domain ('Log on to:') field is set to 'Campus'

  1. If the login process is successful, you will be prompted to give authorisation for the File Transfer Utility to connect to your computer. Select the 'Full Access' option, this allows files to be copied from and to your computers storage area (hard drive) during the File Transfer process. Click on 'OK' to start transferring files. (N.B. The File transfer utility exists for moving files only, you cannot open files from within the utility.)

  1. In the following example a Microsoft Word document will be copied from the H-drive to a users storage space on their personal computer.

Simply browse to the H-drive using the file tree in the left hand pane. The document we wish to transfer is located within the 'Personal' folder. When this folder is selected (clicked on) the contents of the file are shown in the right hand pane.

  1. Now we can select the document 'Phonetic.doc' (by clicking on it) and then clicking on the 'Copy To' button.

  1. A window will then open prompting you to select a location to copy the file to. In this example we will copy the file to the root of the C-drive on the users personal computer 'C$ on 'Client' (U:)'. Any drives/entries listed in the file tree containing the words 'on Client', refer to drives on the local machine (the users personal computer).

Simply repeat this process for any other files you wish to move.

  1. When you have finished using the Utility, click the 'Sign Out' link at the top right of the page.

  1. You will then be prompted to close the 'Secure Application Manger', click on the 'Exit' button to close. If the Secure Application Manager is not closed it will restrict your access to the internet. You can also close the program from the system tray by right clicking on the relevant icon (bottom right of the screen by the clock) and selecting 'Exit'.
