How do I login to Net Plus?

In order to log into Net Plus, launch your browser, such as Internet Explorer. You can click on the Internet Explorer icon, or go to your Start Menu (Start/Programs/Internet Explorer)

You should be automatically redirected to the Netplus login page below.

If not go to the following web page (File, Open…): https://164.11.141.5/login.pl

In the box entitled Registered Users, type the username and password given to you in the letter issued at the beginning of your course. The letter contains your ‘system’ user ID and password which allows you access to the main UWE systems.

Before you can access any secure pages such as Facebook, Windows Live Mail etc, you will need to configure your browser to use the UWE proxy server.

To configure Internet Explorer go to your main browser window, click on Tools on the menu bar and select Internet Options

In the Internet Options window, click on the Connections Tab and then click on the LAN Settings button

Check the box marked Use automatic configuration script and type:

http://www.uwe.ac.uk/proxy.pac in the Address field. Then click on OK

Click OK on the Internet Options window.

You should now be able to access external and secure web pages using your browser.

Where you set this in other browsers varies:

For Google Chrome – set the proxy in Internet Explorer as above.

For Firefox – Tools/Options/Advanced/Network/Settings

Firefox on Macs – Firefox menu/Preferences/Advanced/Network/Settings
