Staff Printing
What do I need to do to be able to print to a Network Printer?
(How to add a Network Printer, Staff Only, Windows 2000)
You need to firstly find out the printer name, this will be something like CL-BBS-LJ04. You may find it useful to look at somebody else's computer who can currently print to the printer you want to use.
Once you have the printer name you can follow the instructions below to add the printer to your thick client profile. Once the printer has been added you can print to it.
1. Click Start - Settings – Printers

2. Double-click Add Printer
3. The Add Printer Wizard will appear. Click Next.

4. Ensure Network printer is selected, then click Next.
5. The Locate Your Printer box will appear. Under What printer do you want to connect to? Tick the option Find a printer in the directory.

6. Click Next.

7. Click on Find Now. The list of staff printers will appear.
8. Find the printer you want to add and double-click it.
9. If there are already some printers installed you will be asked if you want to set this new printer as the default:
10. Answer Yes or No as appropriate (this can be changed later, once the printer is installed).
11. You will be told that the network printer has been successfully installed:

13. Repeat as necessary for any other required network printers
Note that currently installed printers can be found by looking in the Printers folder, via Start - Settings - Printers.
