Which drives do I have access to within Windows?
Go to Windows Explorer to see your drives.
Windows Explorer is an application that provides detailed information about your files, folders, and drives. You can use it to see how your files are organised and to copy, move, and rename files, as well as perform other tasks pertaining to files, folders, and drives.
A: Floppy drive (where fitted) – now rarely available
C: Operating system and program files
D: High capacity local storage (for Staff) and Temporary local storage (for Students)
E: CD-Rom drive (where fitted)
H: Personal network file storage (for Word, Text etc… documents)
P: Read Only drive for ITS use
S: Shared network file storage grouped by faculty and service (access levels vary according to jobs/courses)
T: Staff access to student S: drive
U: USB memory stick drive (where fitted & in 24-hour lab)
