When I type a word which starts with two capital letters (e.g. MPhil), Word changes the second letter to lower case. How do I stop this?
With Word open, do the following :
- Click the Microsoft Office Button
, and then click Word Options at the bottom right of the window.

- Click Proofing.
- Click the AutoCorrect Options button.

- On the AutoCorrect tab, tick or untick any of the following check boxes:
- Correct TWo INitial Capitals (in this case, untick this option)
- Capitalize first letter of sentences
- Capitalize names of days
- Correct accidental use of cAPS LOCK key
- Capitalize first letter of table cells
