CD Burning on Student PC’s
Instructions
Find a PC capable of burning CD’s. The drive should have this symbol on the front:
Open access areas with CD burners include the 24HR PC Lab in 2B017 and the open access lab in the Frenchay Library room 4D29.
Log in to the PC and insert the blank CDR into the drive.
Open the ‘Roxio Creator Basic V9’software:
When prompted to register the product click Cancel and then OK.
To add files click Data Disk from the options on the right:
Click Add Data:
Select the files you wish to burn to the disk and click Add. Repeat this process for all files.
When you have added all of the files click the Burn button in the bottom right:
The files will now be burnt to the disk.
Note: In some cases, due to a software bug you will not be able to open the burnt CD on the same PC it was created on.
