Student printing facilities on campuses

Printing facilities are available on all campuses. UWE offers a chargeable student printing system called Pharos. This is created automatically as part of your Student Computer Username. Once you have credited your Pharos account, you can print from PCs in any student PC lab or in any of the Campus Libraries.

Pharos Online Payments is a new facility which allows you to credit your Pharos printing account via the myuWE portal using a Debit/Credit card. For information, please click on Pharos Online Payments.

For more information about printing with Pharos, please refer to http://www.uwe.ac.uk/its/knowledgebase/helpdesk/printing/index.shtml.

Students are expected to housekeep their work that they keep on the H: drive.

This can include the following:

  • Copying data on to CD-Rom (via the CD-Rom writers that can be found in the libraries) or memory sticks.
  • Reducing graphics size, by reducing colours, changing the file format etc.

Storage and quota information can be found at Data Storage Facilities.

Microsoft Office products are installed on all computers based at UWE. There is no charge to use the software. However, Microsoft products are not available for students’ home PCs or laptops. Students will have to buy their own license independently from UWE.
