Policy
Conditions of Use for the UWE IT Services Notice Board:
In the following conditions, the term notice refers to any topic, message, reply or notice posted to the Notice Board.
- The content of individual notices is the responsibility of the submitter and does not necessarily reflect the views, opinions or policies of the University. UWE accepts no responsibility for descriptions, claims or definitions used within these notices. Purchasers must satisfy themselves that any items offered for sale are genuine.
- IT Services reserves the right to immediately remove any notice posted to these boards. All notices will be subject to moderation, and will only be placed on the boards when IT Services considers them to comply with the University's current Rules and Regulations, including the Equal Opportunities policy, the Freedom of Speech policy, and the IT Services’ Acceptable Use Policy, all of which are published on the UWE web site.
- Specific consideration during the moderation process will be whether submitted notices could be considered to be offensive or defamatory to individuals or groups. Any person or persons has the right to request that a notice be removed from the board; this may be accomplished by emailing webadmin@uwe.ac.uk. Any such notice may then be removed, at the discretion of IT Services.
- All notices will be deleted after a specified time (currently 1 month). Notices will not be archived, and deleted notices cannot be retrieved.
- Official UWE events should be sent to Sue Fox, Events Officer, Marketing (Sue.Fox@uwe.ac.uk) for inclusion in the UWE Events Diary
- The Board is intended for internal (i.e. within UWE) use only.
- Comments about the Notice Board may be submitted the IT Support Centre.
