Important - acceptable use of e mail

Please ensure that you are aware of the acceptable use and unacceptable use of the e mail system.

Some points to clarify:

On bulk mailings to the whole University or significant parts of the mailing lists, No attachments are permitted. Links back to the appropriate document can be used.
The body text area of the e mail should not contain high resolution graphics or logos or the document that would have been an attachment.
Advertising via the e mail system is not an acceptable use.
The recipients must always be placed in the BCC category.

The content should be work specific as outlined in the policy and not of a personal nature. It should be brief and have a small space footprint.

Hopefully, everyone will use their discretion and common sense when using e-mail. You may wish to refer to the recommended Email Etiquette.
