How to car share at UWE

By sharing your car journey to UWE with someone else, you can save both money and time!

The University has developed special car parking for people who car share in these locations (pdf) at Frenchay Campus. The only extra requirement to use these spaces is having more than one person in your car when you park. We are looking at introducing the system at other campuses where demand exists. By car sharing:

  • there will be more convenient places to park at Frenchay
  • you can save hundreds of pounds a year
  • you are cutting congestion and reducing the impact of your car on the environment

New car share barrier in Car Park 1!

The new car share barrier in Car Park 1 ensures that only cars with passengers are able to park in this area. There is no need to have a passenger with you when exiting the car park.

Please note that cars without a passenger observed attempting to park in this area may be subject to a £5 car parking charge.
