Obtaining a parking permit or tokenAll students and staff need to display either a parking token or a parking permit to park on campus during weekday office hours. These can be purchased in sheets of four for £3, with each being valid for one day's parking (i.e. 75p a day). They can be obtained in quantity and then used on any subsequent day for any vehicle. Read the instructions on the back carefully before use. Please note that residents on Frenchay campus are NOT entitled to bring a car onto campus. If you think individual parking tokens would cost you more than £79 a year...You may purchase 140 parking tokens through the Online Store. Note, if you haven't used the online store before, once you click "checkout" with your order, please select "This is my first visit". Please note that tokens purchased in quantity like this will only be valid for display in a specified vehicle. For Staff![]() Staff can also purchase tokens as above, at £3 for 4 days, or they

UWE's Car Parking Policy was introduced in 2007 to provide clear guidance to staff, students and visitors on the rules concerning car parking. Use of UWE car parking facilities will be deemed as acceptance of these policies. Students at Frenchay may use car parks 1 and 20. Part of car park 1 is reserved for students who car share. Visitor parkingVisitors to studentsStudents hosting visitors should check carefully the requirements in the parking policy under 'visitors to students'. Persons wishing to park a vehicle overnight or for extended periods must obtain authorisation and register the vehicle's details at the visitors reception / gatehouse or directly with the transport office. Business visitorsCar-borne visitors to UWE will be given free access to car parks by reporting to the Visitors Reception (Gate House) at Frenchay, or Main Reception, Satellite Sites, registering their company name, who they are visiting and their car registration. A visitors' permit will be issued in accordance with the expected length of their stay at UWE and must be displayed. Those who host frequent visitors can apply to Facilities for a visitors' permit. If you fall into the latter two categories, you must bring medical certification to room 1E20, Frenchay to obtain your UWE blue badge. This is also necessary to obtain access to accessible parking spaces. In 2008 we have introduced a reduced fine of £5 (with no wheel clamp) which is applied at our discretion, particularly primarily for vehicles parked without a valid permit or token.
