East Reception and North Reception, Frenchay . . . .
“You only get one chance to make a first impression” and
UWE Frenchay is ensuring that visitors, staff and students receive a professional,
efficient and warm welcome when they visit the campus.
What is happening?
- The East and North gatehouses will be renamed “Receptions”
from mid September 2011.
- Receptionists have been recruited and have undergone comprehensive
customer service and IT training.
- Plans are progressing to refurbish the main East Reception to make
it a positive first impression of the University and ensure it is DDA
compliant.
What you need to do....
When you issue any literature or information which refers to these locations,
please amend this to refer to the East Reception and the North Reception
as appropriate.
What is different?
- Receptionists will staff the East and North Receptions between 7am
and 3.30pm Monday to Friday,
- Operations & Security staff will continue to staff the East and
North Receptions outside of these times.
- You will see signage change to East Reception and North Reception.
- A Sharepoint site has been developed to enable quick
and efficient access by the receptionists to information required by
UWE Frenchay visitors.
- General IT systems for both the North and East Receptions are being
updated to meet and exceed present and future business needs.
What will Reception staff do?
- Meet and greet visitors to the University in a friendly, efficient
and professional manner.
- Guide all visitors, including deliveries to their required destination
and advise on where to park at UWE.
- Coordinate Emergency Services on site and ensure
their swift arrival at required destination.
- Coordinate works requests and contractors out-of-hours.
