Visitors' Reception (Gatehouse)

The University has a Visitors' Reception (Gatehouse) at the Frenchay Campus. The Visitors' Reception is part of the Operations and Security department and is open 24 hours a day. Operations and Security (CSO) staff man the Visitors' Reception.

The Visitors' Reception provides a reception/enquiry service to staff, students and visitors arriving at the Frenchay Campus.

Other services available:-

  • Issuing of contractors' keys - contractors may collect keys from the Gatehouse following an authorised request from Departments/Faculties.
  • Issuing of hire car keys.
  • Answering 999 calls from staff/students and from people stuck in lifts. The Gatehouse staff are responsible for calling the emergency services to the appropriate scene.
