Research in HLSS
Welcome to the research pages of HLSS. The School has an established reputation, nationally and internationally, for research across a range of disciplines. Academics work closely with groups within the community, within local and national government and within industry so that their research can make a difference to the world in which they live.
With over 100 research active staff, HLSS offers exciting research opportunities for organisations and for students. We welcome applications for our taught MA programmes and research degrees for which we provide expert and enthusiastic supervisors. Our main aim is to provide a lively research culture and excellent student support through the Graduate School, Research Centres and subject departments. Graduate students have many opportunities to participate in and to shape this research culture through research seminars, conferences and workshops.
