2009/2010 Short Course Programme
CPSS offers a programme of short courses, all taught in workshop form, which can be either taken as free-standing CPD activities or as Masters level modules equivalent to 30 credits. If you are interested in knowing more about the ‘credit bearing’ option please contact the relevant course leader.
Researching the Unconscious
This module is particularly relevant to practitioners who work therapeutically with children, adults or groups.
Theory and Practice of
Group Consultation & Collaboration
This module aims to develop students’ capacities to work innovatively and creatively within a group setting and to deepen their understanding of the consultative and collaborative skills needed to enhance every-day professional practice in complex and diverse settings.
Addressing Community Tensions
This module examines good practice and relevant theory relevant to addressing community tensions and conflicts with a long-term and sustainable focus.
Researching Beneath the Surface: New Methods of Social Inquiry
How do we research and inquire into human experience, particularly the affective and less conscious dimensions of this experience and what are the ethical implications of this process of coming to know the other?
