The Bristol Centre for Linguistics at the University of the West of EnglandIntroducing The Bristol Centre for Linguistics (BCL) at UWEGovernanceManagement The Centre is led by a Director and managed by an Executive Committee formally headed by the Director. The Committee is charged with seeking income-generating opportunities consistent with the rationale of the Centre and with supervising the progress, dissemination (e.g. through conferences and publications), and where appropriate the commercialization and knowledge exchange capabilities, of all research done by members of the Centre. The Committee will deliver an annual SWOT analysis for the Centre to the Executive of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities. Monitoring The work of the Centre will also be overseen and advised by an Advisory Panel consisting of academics from other academic institutions and external representatives from, for example, the software industry and professional translation bodies. |
