Did you know.......
Last Easter Break the Frenchay campus used 93,769 kWh of electricity when there was no one here!
This cost the University £8,299.
This cost the planet 51,010 kg of CO2 emissions.
This energy could have made 4.7 million cups of tea!
Please do your bit this Easter and remember to switch off equipment over the break. Things to remember include:
![]() |
|
- Standby modes can use up to 80% of the energy used in normal operation so make sure equipment is completely off.
- In larger offices make sure someone is responsible for communal equipment to ensure it is switched off (click here for a reminder list you can adapt for your office (Excel 118k)).
Together we can eliminate all energy waste over the holiday period.
Thank you and enjoy the Easter break!
