- BiteSize TEL lunchtime sessions
We hosted a series of short 45 minute long staff development sessions throughout May, June, and July 2012. We looked at various ways that technology can be used to enhance learning.
- Metaxis - or learning in two places at once
Professor Liz Falconer, Director of the Education Innovation Centre at UWE, Bristol – gave her inaugural Professorial lecture on teaching and learning in virtual worlds entitled “Metaxis – or learning in two places at once”. We've got the whole lecture here, as well as information about how we held it in the real life lecture area and Second Life.
- SHELLA – The UWE Avatar
SHELLA (Simulations in Higher Education Linguistic Localised Avatar) is a new type of online interface to interact with information on the web. We've more info here
- EIC Workshops

Venue: EIC, T BlockWe're running a series of free workshops over March, April, May, and July that will showcase a number of innovative ways of using technology in education. We'll be looking at Digital doodling; Introduction to Virtual Worlds; and Designing flexible delivery: or the Prozac-free way of making your module available online
