Governance and Accountability in Financial Services Conference
Re-scheduled for Friday 12 March 2010
The Centre for Global Finance (CGF) and Bristol Centre for Leadership and Organizational Ethics (BCLOE) at Bristol Business School are to host a special one-day conference on the theme of 'Governance and Accountability in Financial Services' at the University of the West of England on Friday 12 March 2010. Please note that this is the rescheduled event from January which was postponed due to bad weather.
This conference will address the responses to this crisis of governance from the Walker Committee on Financial Sector Governance, and the Financial Reporting Council's Review of the UK Governance Code, both published at the end of 2009, and from the Government.
Senior academics will be joined by a group of distinguished guest speakers from the Foundation for Governance Research and Education to review the key governance challenges facing financial institutions today as well as some of the critical ethical, risk management, regulatory and leadership issues. The audience will have the opportunity for discussion and debate with the panel of guest speakers. |
