The AQMRC operates at the interface of air quality science and policy. It is widely recognised nationally and internationally by air quality practitioners and researchers, in local authorities, central government, national agencies and universities as a leading provider of air quality management information, advice, research and consultancy services.

This element is enhanced by the diverse nationalities within the centre including members of staff from the United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, Indonesia and New Zealand, and over recent years PhD students from Egypt, Greece, Hong Kong, Indonesia, and Nigeria.

The AQMRC is proud to be affiliated with three visiting professors (Prof Jimi Irwin, Prof Duncan Laxen and Prof Will Pope) and a visiting research fellow (Dr Mark Broomfield) who bring their own expertise and unique backgrounds to the team.
