The Air
Quality Management Resource
Centre provides training events
for air quality professionals in
South West England and beyond,
drawing from our own experience,
academics within the University,
and the experiences of other air
quality practitioners within the
region.
The AQMRC
is committed to supporting the
development of air quality
management capacity and
capability and have
organised programmes to support
local authorities, regional and
central government departments,
environmental consultancies and
national agencies in discharging
their air quality responsibilities.
AQMRC has also made significant
contributions to air quality
management training and
development carried out by other
organisations.
Our training days are normally structured in one of the
following ways;
- In collaboration with an external partner
who provides Continuing
Professional Development (CPD) certificates, and
undertakes the marketing,
administrative and venue management for the event (eg,
EP-UK Spring Workshop).
- Specially commissioned events organised and
facilitated entirely by AQMRC based on request
by an outside party or in response to changes to
existing science/policy understanding and
guidance (eg, AQMRC Training Day 2006).
Bespoke training events can be designed to fit
the purpose and the requirements of the audience.
We aim to make the training events as useful as
possible encouraging knowledge exchange, maximising
the understanding and capability of the delegates
attending.
The AQMRC training days have been attended by
hundreds of satisfied delegates. Some
quotes from delegates feedback at
AQMRC training days follow;
"Most interesting
presentations. Brought the
real issues of climate change to
the front of my mind."
"Very good. I have greatly
benefited from today's
presentations."
"More seminars like this would
be very useful as this training
is difficult to get elsewhere."
Please
contact us if you need
further information, wish to
discuss future events, or
discuss potential training
events with the AQMRC team.
