The Air Quality Management Resource Centre has worked with a wide range of international partners and seeks to both help build capacity in Air Quality Management across the globe and to help bring valuable lessons from other countries back to Europe to help strengthen our existing Air Quality Management and Climate Change policies and practice.

We are an active member in a number of international networks and organisations, including:

CAI-Asia  - the Clean Air Initiative for Asian Cities

Better Air Quality Asia - India 2004, Phillippines 2003

IUAPPA  - The International Union of Air Pollution Prevention and Environmental Protection Associations

IUAPPA World Clean Air Conference London, 2004, and Brisbane, 2007

IUAPPA Regional Conference Lille, 2006, and Dubrovnik, 2003

EU-INTEGAIRE - Platform of European Air Quality Experts

South African National Framework Project Team - NILU, CSIR, University of KwaZulu-Natal

G-FORS - Governance for sustainability European research

Internationally, projects have included work in the mega cities of Beijing advising on the air quality management implications of the 2008 Olympics (another article featured here), Sao Paulo (with USP and IUAPPA) and  Mexico City (with MIT and IUAPPA).

Jim Longhurst was co-conference chair of annual international Air Pollution Conference in 2000 (Cambridge, UK)  2006 (New Forest, UK) and will co-chair the 2008 meeting (Skiathos). In both cases he has/will edit the conference book published by WIT.

AQMRC are interested in joining partnerships to bid for future projects building on our existing experience or offering us exciting new opportunities.  Please contact us.
