The responsibility for the
management of local air quality pollutants and
climate change gases does not solely lie with
central and local government but also with other
government agencies such as the Environment
Agency and the Highways Agency.
The staff at
AQMRC have always worked at the interface of air
quality science, technology and policy
portfolios, and in doing so, have a long history
of working closely with the Environment
Agency
on a range of research projects and with various
other government agencies through portals such
as the National Society for Clean Air.
AQMRC can
provide advice on identifying the synergisms
between government agency and central government
policies and through this establish how policy
can influence research and vice versa.
