The AQMRC is widely recognised by air quality practitioners as a focal point for air quality management information and advice.  The AQMRC has established air quality networks with other organisations i.e. consultancies, academics, and local governments nationally and internationally. These networks have been utilised to successfully win reputable grants from the EU, Research Councils, UK central government, the Environment Agency, and non-UK central government and a vast array of local authorities’ projects.

The AQMRC is committed to supporting the development of air quality management capacity and capability, and has provided training sessions through workshops, seminars, and conferences in all facets of air quality management i.e. from introductory sessions on LAQM to highly advanced scientific aspects of the LAQM process. We also host an annual joint conference with the South West Environmental Protection UK (formerly NSCA) covering a wide range of environmental issues from air pollution to climate change.
