We have established a database of Environmental Consultancies air quality work across the UK.

We sent a questionnaire survey to 150 UK based Environmental Consultancies that indicated in their promotional materials that they offered services in public and stakeholder consultation work in one of the following fields: air pollution/air quality, environmental impact assessment/strategic environmental assessment or corporate environmental strategy.

We then conducted two focus group events in Bristol and London attended by different functions of a range of Environmental Consultancies - from large scale, multinational and interdisciplinary Environmental Consultancies to small/medium size and specialist consultancies. Focus group outcomes can be downloaded here.

Following focus group, as part of case study methodology we visited 3 Environmental Consultancies to test and confirm the outcomes of the survey and focus group activities. Summary of interview results is available here.

Finally we have published a guidance document for Environmental Consultancies. to improve air quality consultation "IMPROVING AIR QUALITY CONSULTATION - A Ten Step Plan for Environmental Consultancies."
