Creating local partnerships with global benefits

UWE is proud to be very much part of the local community, helping address the needs of our region. We are at the hub of a host of dynamic partnerships and collaborations with world-famous names in Bristol and beyond. This provides valuable opportunities for our students and allows us to infuse our teaching with cutting-edge practice, develop research solutions for industry and, most importantly, enable the sharing of knowledge.
We enjoy close relationships with our neighbours and as a result, UWE has recently purchased a 70 acre site adjacent to the Frenchay Campus providing a great opportunity to create one of the most extensive, sustainable and modern campuses in the UK.
UWE in the community
UWE continues to forge links with local schools and community groups though the UWE community volunteer programme, the Centre for Sport's Hotshot summer camps and with ongoing knowledge-sharing activities organised by students and staff. These include Student Paramedics visiting schools to give first aid training and awareness films produced by Creative Arts students for audiences in Bristol secondary schools.
